Moodboarding Magic: How We Bring Your Wedding Vision to Life

Andrew Says

Moodboarding is such an important step when developing an aesthetic for a clients wedding. It always feels amazing when everything is tied up neatly with a bow and clients love the vision.

A moodboard is a visual tool used to capture and convey the aesthetic, style, and overall feel of a project. It’s essentially a curated collection of images, colors, textures, typography, and other design elements that help set the creative direction.

Step 1 - Information Gathering

To start this highly personalised process, I need to understand more about you as a couple so that I can start to bring your vision to life. The more information I have, the better, so I’ll ask you to tell me what type of vibe you’re looking for - is it bold and flamboyant, moody and intimate, whimsical, or paired back and elegant?

I’ll also ask you for your budget. This is important because I work to your budget - this way, I’m able to maximise what I can provide you. This enables me to give you a full venue style, down to your table signage, and welcome signage, removing the need for you having to find other suppliers.

Step 2 - Moodboard formation

I then start to put your moodboard together. I look at trending styles, styles which are less frequently seen at other weddings, different decor combinations, statement pieces, and accent pieces. I consider styles that complement each other, and statement pieces which are immediately eye catching.

My moodboards are often more than a single page as there’s so much to consider. During this phase, please expect me to contact you if I need more information. Typically, I turnaround moodboards in about 3 days from formation, to hosting it on the website.

Step 3 - Vision Document & revisions

Once I’m pleased with what I’ve produced, I add a section about my “vision”. This is where I explain my vision for the choices I’ve used within the moodboard, and why I think you should consider them for your wedding.

No one is perfect, but I like to get my decor perfect - I listen to you, make changes if needed, and then review. We go over this process, until you’re 100% happy with everything.

Step 4 - Contract signing & deposit

Only when you’re happy with the “vision”, do we move to the contract. My booking process is really easy. Everything is electronic, so you’ll receive the contract via email with a breakdown of the services and decor that I will provide. Once accepted, I send you an invoice which includes a card payment method, including Apple Pay/Google Pay, and your date is booked!
